Advanced Moodle – Add Teaching & Learning Power to your Moodle Site
Enhance your Moodle site with advanced features such as videos, pod casts, tutorials, wikis, directories, and RSS feeds. Add a glossary specific to your course curriculum. Create student groups for wikis, chats, discussion forums, and other assignments. Add other activities such as independent lessons and surveys. Learn how to embed HTML widgets into your course content for supplemental information. Import content from course to course to save time. Give your Moodle site additional teaching and learning power with interactive components.

Tips:

  • When adding an RSS feed block, make sure you are reviewing the content since you have no control over this content that is delivered automatically to your moodle course.
  • In a Moodle Lesson activity, do not be hesitant to place the content and question together. Remember, a lesson is for learning. Also, if your questions are high on Bloom's Taxonomy and calls for critical thinking, the content will inspire the answer to the question.
  • Random glossaries are not only good for content vocabulary, but also for Quote of the Day, Bellringer of the Day, or Word of the Day.
